Journal Entry 9

Maybe my luck has finally ran out on me. Still here. Can’t figure out what is going on. Try again, door unlocked.

Marcos

Journal Entry 8

Now what is going on here! Is this some kind of a joke? I found a farm house on the outskirts that took me in and fed me. I asked them if they could watch over me and they said they would. Now, here, on the White Star. They still haven’t locked the door.

Journal Entry 7

CURSES! I keep sleeping in some place that is not on the White Star and continue to wake on the White Star! I remember falling asleep in the hotel. I looked at the walls and made sure I was there. Tonight will work for sure. The door is still unlocked and I will travel further into the city and find a place that will take me in. Perhaps I can ask them to keep an eye on me so that I do not walk in my sleep.
Yours,
Marcos,
White Star

Journal Entry 6

I am very displeased to have found myself waking in the brig on the White Star! I had thought I had fallen asleep soundly in the hotel and now wake to find myself still a prisoner. I can only guess that I must have drunk too much and wandered back to the White Star in my delirium. They still have not learned their lesson though and the door is still unlocked. I will try this again, only not celebrate my freedom too early with drinking. To victory and freedom!

Yours truly,
Marcos de la Cruz
Newly escaped from the White Star

Journal Entry 5

Dear Journal,

Journal Entry 4

Dear Journal,
I think I may have made a new friend. It was early on my shift but I was starving! Supper was only a few hours ago but I was still so very hungry. It seemed like forever until Pel was going to start his “Midnight flapjacks.” So, I found myself stealing down below to the galley to see what was going on. I tripped over one of the loose floorboads and tummbled to the floor and there I noticed something I had never seen before. There was a huge rat hole leading into the galley. A little whiskered face poked out to sniff around.

Journal Entry 3

Dear Journal,
I am a lover of many things and eating is certainly one of the greatest among them. We have arrived at the Villa de Cadiz where the White Star seems to port often. Today we were taken ashore and now are staying in the Villa until it is time to set sail again. I have learned that after being on the sea for a long time that being on shore can make me shore sick! I was glad to learn that I will be staying in the brig on the ship at night.

Journal Entry 2

Dear Journal,
Things have been slow for the past week. The weather has been stifling and it is too hot to work below decks. Most of the crew has taken to lying on the deck and letting the sea spray cool them. They even let Lady Mariam Albarran out of the map closet due to the heat. I was enjoying my time on the ship for once until Captain Lot Ramirez stepped onto the deck to see his leisurely crew. Then a thought must have crept into his head because he got that smirk on his face, when he had an idea for me.

Journal Entry 1

Through much begging and negotiating, (Helmsman Mordechai ben Avraham calls it “Whining”) I have convinced them to give me a pen, ink and enough paper to keep me busy for some of these long voyages. I shall now keep close accounts of the happenings of myself and the crew of the Goode Ship White Star. Here begins my journal.

Me and the Dragoons

Awright, so dere I was on dee Whitestar and wee were in port somewhere (Aye really dunno where). We were all workin’ on dir ship gettin’ it all clean and shiny, ay wish aye could tell ye, but aye was followin’ Quintin’s orders.
